Planes of Tlessa

Crafting

Crafting is probably the most essential skill in the game, aside from your trainable skills like Accuracy, Casting Accuracy and Dodge.

Players can get items from killing monsters, these have random enchantments applied that can be junk or be an upgrade. Disenchanting those junk items gets valuable Gold Dust and Disenchanting skill levels.

Players can also get items from the Shop, but the shop only sells up to 2 Billion in Gold worth of items and players can craft up to ~36 Billion Gold in items – in other words, the shop only takes you so far.

The Guide Quests will start out by introducing you to crafting, slowly at first before ramping up over time.

Crafting is the first essential part of gear progression in Tlessa.

Lets dive in by first seeing a list of items we can craft below.

How to Craft

There are various types of crafting options, that you can see to the right or bottom for mobile. In this document we will focus on Craft, this is how you will craft weapons and armour.

How mobile players access crafting is slightly different then how PC players access it. For mobile you will select the Crafting option from the actions drop down and then you will have the same blue drop down to select the crafting type from.

Once the crafting section opens, see image to the right or bottom for mobile, you will have various options to craft. There are various weapons and you can even select armour to craft.

One option near the top as you will see: For my class.

This will return only weapons your class uses. In the case where a class uses multiple weapons such as Heretics who can use Wands, Staves and Damage Spells, we will return Wands and Staves. Spells are their own crafting skill.

If you have unlocked the following classes:

- Prisoner
- Alcoholic

Which are done through the Class Ranks system, you will be told that either A) you can use any weapon and should choose a different type – in the case of Prisoner or B) you don’t usually use weapons and should choose another type – in the case of Alcoholics.

Lets craft some weapons. I this case our class is a Heretic and we will select “For your class” in the drop down, which you can see to the right or bottom for mobile.

Remember that while yes a class can use any weapon they like, using their class specific weapons will increase their chance to fire off a class special while in combat. These weapons also increase their core damage stat, which for Heretics is Intelligence.

You will notice here that spells are not included in this list because spell crafting is it’s own crafting skill.

Let’s craft ourselves a stave. As you can see to the right or bottom for mobile, we have a list of staves to craft. You may not have as many as the image does, but over time you will unlock more.

You will want to pay attention to the Server Messages tab in the chat section when crafting to see if you succeeded, failed (and lost the investment) or if you have new items, or if the item is too easy to craft.

Remember all items have a skill level required to craft and a skill level when it becomes too trivial for you to craft.

Now that we have our item selected, all we have to do is hit craft and wait for the 10 second timeout before attempting again.

See image to the right or bottom for mobile.

In the image to the right or bottom for mobile, we can see we have crafted the item. You might fail and lose your investment, it’s a roll of the dice based on, in this case your Weapon Crafting Skill’s Skill Bonus.

As mentioned before there are various enchantments and a few quest items that will increase not just the skills skill bonus but also the XP per successful craft.

Some players often tend to make themselves, at later levels, a full set of crafting specific gear with enchantments to make the process easier.

That’s really all there is to crafting, you select what you want, you hit the craft button and you repeat the process.

A tip for new players is to keep the items you craft so you can turn around and then enchant the items with enchantments and then any item you don’t want you can disenchant to level both the disenchanting and enchanting skill.

You can also sell these items to the shop and after enchanting them, to the market.

Crafted items, as you saw above can be clicked on to see if it’s better than what you have on and possibly equip it.
